Worship at Hope Reformed Church can be described as both “dignified and warm”. It is dignified in the sense that God is revered and honored. It is warm in the sense that the worshipper is introduced to the “Living Christ” who desires to have a loving personal relationship with all who seek Jesus as Savior. Sermons are biblically based – reminding us that God’s rightful place is at the center of our lives. The focus of the worship is always on God and never on us.
Hope Reformed Church will be celebrating our 125th Anniversary this year on the weekend of August 13th. On Friday evening Aug 11th we will be staring off the weekend with a Hostess Supper with entertainment to follow. We will then take a break on Saturday with festivities picking up again with a special Sunday morning service, followed by a catered meal by Central Catering out of Hawarden. Tickets will be available starting mid June and can be purchased after church on Sundays in the fellowship area or may also be ordered by contacting Marlene Ellrich @913-568-3599. Meal prices are $12.00 for Adults while children 10 and under are free. We will have various activities on Sunday afternoon to round off the weekend.
Just to give a heads up……we will be having a new cookbook coming out and various souvenirs available to help commemorate our Sesquicentennial. More info will be posted as available. Please mark your calendar for this special weekend!!!!
The 125th is coming soon and we are in the process of writing the history from 100 years to 125 years. This will all be in 1 binder and we need to know how many would be interested in a book.We also need to know extended family, friends or anyone you know who may want one. The more we sell the cheaper the price. We will be in the narthex taking orders the next few weeks. We really need to know by July 9! You may call Marlene @475-2652 or Donna @475-6473 Thanks Marlene and Donna

We have dedicated people that love God and strive to do their best to serve Him. We have a beautiful setting that shows God’s beauty. We have members that love each other.
We are a loving group of Christ followers that just need a little help with direction.
We have great people. Most everyone in church is willing to help with anything at a moment’s notice.
We are a small, rural congregation bonded together by close families, friends, and neighbors that love and serve the Lord.
